The differences in both image quality and tonal range between the D2H and D2Hs are quite clear, especially from ISO 800 and up.... It seems we're just comparing more saturation (D2H) versus even more saturation (D2Hs)....

It looks like the D2Hs is much softer, has better colors and a better Auto white balance.... I have a friend who just changed from the D2H to the D2Hs, and is stating that the image quality is much better....

D2H vs D2Hs
The D2X and D2Hs are of the same generation so one is not more modern than the other.... The D2Hs offers incremental improvements that would be of interest mainly to photojournalists and photographers with specific needs....
