Of course, the 300D is more flexible and will have less noise, but if you don't want to sink money into lenses, then the Pro1 is more flexible out of the box.... Even with a slower lens, the 300D will easily outperform the Pro1 in low light - plus you can always get a fast lens for the 300D....
